The new Straumann® CARES® Scan CS2 scanner is an integral part of Straumann® CARES® Digital Solutions and offers the benefits you need for your dental business – from CAD to CAM.

The Straumann® CARES® Scan CS2 has the ability to scan solid master models, section cuts, and antagonist models. Using advanced 3D laser technology for accuracy and speed, it reduces scanning times to just 30 seconds for single dies, and 3 minutes for master models. The scanner also has a new ‘morphing’ capability, which automatically designs a fully restored tooth with inlays, onlays, veneers, or partial crowns despite the fact that the original morphology of the tooth is missing.

DESIGN EXPERTISE (CAD)

The new Straumann® CARES® Visual 7.0 design software is a complete and comprehensive dental interface, giving you access to a variety of specific services and design solutions.

Validated Workflow CAD Ceramics Dental Lab

WHY AN OPEN STANDARD SOFTWARE PLATFORM?

Previously, the co-existence of multiple parallel systems and software has created unnecessary complexity and confusion for dentists and dental laboratories. The open standard software platform helps to overcome the drawbacks of this ‘multi-system’ approach by enabling:

  • Improved connectivity between the different systems
  • Confidence that systems will remain up-to-date in the future
  • Reduced costs without migration from one system to another

MY.STRAUMANN® CARES® DESKTOP

The my.Straumann® CARES® desktop has been designed to navigate throughout the variety of options which Straumann offers its customers. As part of an easy navigation, the my.Straumann® CARES® desktop is built on four main tiles or ‘apps’ that let the technician choose which digital platform to work in.

Your Benefits

High precision

Our software integrates the predefined parameters from the milling machines in our state-of-the-art Straumann® CARES® milling center, designed for an optimal design and excellent fit of the prosthetic frameworks

Consistently high quality

We carry out a consistent quality control of our prosthetic components: each restoration is checked for wall thickness, integrity, cleaning, surface defect and marginal fit.

More efficiency

All applications are available: from single crown to 16-unit bridge and from tooth-borne to implant-borne solutions. We also offer our customers online technical support dedicated to constantly increasing their prosthetic design skills.

External Workflow

The External Workflow gives you the flexibility to create open STL files and to choose external milling centers in accordance to your individual needs.

Applications

The External Workflow option provides you with the freedom to choose any production means or partners and offers the following applications:

  • Crown and bridge module based on DWOS1
  • Customized abutment module based on DWOS1 to design customized abutment and screw-retained prosthetic solutions
  • Partial module providing automated functions such as undercut measurement and free-form design tools to create partial frameworks

Implant-Borne Applications

Serve patients with customized implant-borne restorations designed to provide optimal function and esthetics.

Original Connections

Straumann® implant-borne restorations used in conjunction with Straumann® implants are designed to achieve the best possible performance in the implant-abutment connection and thus in the entire restoration. Straumann® screw-retained abutments and Straumann implants are engineered to be used together to ensure a harmony of design (shapes and features), tolerances, surface qualities, and materials.

Customized Straumann® CARES® Abutments

Implant abutments create a sensitive transition from the osseointegrated implant through the peri-implant soft tissue to the prosthetic restoration superstructure.

There are four good clinical reasons for customized Straumann® CARES® Abutments:

  • 1
    Customized shape and emergence profile

Customized Straumann® CARES® Abutments are designed to offer patient-specific emergence profiles and anatomical shape to support optimal soft tissue management.

  • 2
    Control over cement gap

As the cement margin can be ideally placed for each case, customized Straumann® CARES® Abutments help in clearing excess cement.

  • 3
    Optimized path of insertion

Thanks to the flexibility in design of the customized Straumann® CARES® Abutments, angulations can be corrected. This also simplifies the insertion of the final restoration.

  • 4
High convenience in the restoration procedure

The customized Straumann® CARES® Abutment is designed to provide accuracy together with time and cost efficiency through the whole restorative procedure.

Available in two materials

1. Straumann® CARES® Abutment, ceramic (zirconium dioxide)

  • Full ceramic abutment designed for perfect esthetics
  • Excellent material properties designed for high precision and reliability
  • Maximum flexibility (within design specifications) in abutment design for high efficiency

2. Straumann® CARES® Abutment, titanium

Straumann® CARES® Screw-Retained Bridges & Bars (SRBB)

With Straumann® CARES® CADCAM, Straumann offers the construction and manufacturing of complex superstructures. Straumann® CARES® Screw-retained bridges and bars allow for individual customization regarding function and esthetics.

There are four good clinical reasons for Straumann® CARES® Screw-retained bridges and bars:

  • 1
    Direct connection to the implant

The Straumann® CARES® Screw-retained bridge or bar is directly placed on the Straumann® dental implant – the abutment is part of the restoration. No additional components are needed.

  • 2
    High precision

The high-precision of the Straumann® CARES® Screw-retained bridge and bar is based on Straumann’s strong expertise in implantology , CADCAM manufacturing, clear guidance in design, extensive mechanical tests and computer simulations.

  • 3
    Designed by experts

The design is entirely guided and carried out by the dental technician, while Straumann takes care of the manufacturing process.

  • 4
